So, what can you do? Well, I'd suggest you buy a vacation package. This will help with the cost of airfare, but what about Spring Break? This is when you can find other ways to offset the price of the airfare and the price of the room.
Staying at a Disney Resort will save you money on transportation. You won't need to rent a car. Walt Disney World offers free transportation to and from Orlando International Airport and it also offers free transportation within Walt Disney World. If you do decide to rent a car, you'll save money by receiving free parking, which now cost $14 a day.
You can save on the cost of food by eating one or two meals in your room by getting a hotel room that has a mini-refrigerator. There's a $10 charge for a mini-refrigerator at the Value Resorts. All other hotel categories provide a complimentary mini-refrigerator. All resorts have stores that you can buy merchandise and some food items.
There is another option for stocking up on food. There is a grocery delivering service called, Garden Grocer, that will deliver food to you for a $12 delivery charge. Minimum $40 order. Free delivery after $200! Due to the cost of fuel, they are temporarily added a fuel surcharge of $1.99. Garden Grocer has gluten free, organic, and kosher food. http://www.gardengrocer.com/ or call 866-855-4350.
Walt Disney World has cabins at their Fort Wilderness Resort. The cabins have full kitchens! The Fort Wilderness Resort also have campsites. The campsites are cheaper than staying at "regular" hotel, but as far as saving on food goes, you can not have fires at your campsite.
Note: Transportation within Walt Disney World is free to all guests, not just guests that are staying at a Disney Resort.
