A couple of years ago, we took our daughter to Walt Disney World for the first time. She didn't ride a lot of rides since she was only 6 months old, but to see her face light up when she went through "it's a small world" was worth every penny that was spent on our vacation.
When we took our son Matthew for the first time to Walt Disney World, he was so excited to actually meet Mickey Mouse in person. He also liked "it's a small world," but I don't think he does as much now. He always wants to run over to Frontierland and ride Splash Mountain and Big Thunder Mountain Railroad first. He loves the thrill rides, especially Expedition Everest at Disney's Animal Kingdom. All though, I do have a picture of us both on Expedition Everest of me screaming with my eyes closed and Matthew looking bored! I remember the days when I liked riding roller coasters...that was before I had kids and was much younger.
I can't wait to be able to take our daughter back to Walt Disney World. Especially when all of the construction on the new Fantasyland is finished. It will be a new experience for both of us. I'm sure my face will light up as well. My son is talking about wanting to go on "Rock 'n' Roller Coaster." I think I'll let my husband do that with him. However, I did ride the "Tower of Terror." Again, there would have been a time that I probably would have loved it. Matthew did though, that 's the most important thing.
