Matthew's Resort Reviews
I've traveled a lot since I was really little. The one thing that I like the best about a hotel is their pool! I really like water slides. I usually get to play with other kids at the pool and it's a lot of fun!
Disney's Wilderness Lodge
I really liked the Wilderness Lodge. Their water slide was like sliding down a river in the mountains. I also liked the T.V. at the pool bar so I can watch football! There were a lot of nice kids to play with. There's a beach there too. I made sand castles and found some seashells!
It was really cool taking a boat to the Magic Kingdom instead of the bus. The Wilderness Lodge was a really big resort. They had the biggest Christmas Tree I've ever seen! It took up most of the lobby. Christmas Time is so special at Walt Disney World. It's my favorite time of the year to visit!
The beds at the Wilderness Lodge were the best out of all the hotels I've stayed at. They're the most comfortable. I liked eating at the Whispering Canyon Cafe.' The food was really good, but don't let the name fool you. They don't whisper there at all. They yell! They're not trying to be scary, they're just trying to be funny.
Disney's Port Orleans French Quarter
The Doubloon Lagoon Pool at Port Orleans French Quarter has a serpent water slide and you get to slide out it's mouth! It's definitely the best themed pool at Walt Disney World. I got to use the Doubloon Lagoon Pool when I stayed at the Port Orleans French Quarter and when I stayed at the Port Orleans Riverside. You can use the pools at both hotels, since they're sister resorts. You can't do that anywhere else at Walt Disney World. You can only use the pool that's at your hotel.
Disney's Port Orleans Riverside
The Port Orleans Riverside has a pool with a water slide. The pool is called, "Ol' Man Island Swimming Pool." It's was pretty fun, but I still like the pool at the French Quarter better. They had a pool bar that we could buy snacks at.
They had a marina where we could take a boat down to the Port Orleans French Quarter and Downtown Disney! It's more fun to take the boat than a bus! You can also rent a bike, boat, or paddle boat at the marina.
The Port Orleans Riverside is a lot bigger than the Port Orleans French Quarter. The food court is a lot bigger than the French Quarter too.
Disney's Caribbean Beach Resort
I've stayed at the Caribbean Beach Resort. The pool at the Caribbean Beach Resort looks like a fort with a Pirate's theme and has cannons, waterfalls, and a water slide. There's also a beach there. The lifeguards played a lot of games with us like volleyball and Frisbee. It was super fun! You can play in the sand at the beaches, but not in the water. It will make you sick!
The food court was really big and had a lot of different kinds of foods to eat! There was also a restaurant called, "Shutters." I ate shrimp there and it was really good!
I think I like the restaurants as much as the pools at the hotels I've stayed at!
Disney's Pop Century
I really liked staying at the Pop Century. They have a really big food court with all kinds of foods. They also had T.V.'s in the sitting area, so I could watch T.V. while I ate! I've heard that the food court has frozen Cokes, but my mom wouldn't let me drink them.
After I ate, I liked to go to the arcade and play video games. But first, I would go into their really cool store that was right next to the food court. There was a lot of clothes and toys. We'd also buy bottled water and snacks there too.
I really liked the pool. It didn't have a water slide, but it was really big! There were a lot of kids that I could play with there. There was also a play ground. My sister was there, but she was just 6 months old, so she didn't play at the play ground. She did go swimming though. She wasn't scared at all. She likes to swim just like me!
I played at Goofy's water fountain playground. Water comes out of the ground! A statue of Goofy is there holding a surf board. I really like Goofy!
They have a lot of big icons all over the place. I especially like the Big Wheel and the Rubik's Cube. They're both as big as buildings! I felt like I was as small as a mouse playing around all of those giant toys!
